Listings

General

A listing is an individual web page containing information about properties and places. A listing may include information about a company with location and other details including photos and videos. If you cannot find what you are looking for on our website Submitting a Listing.

Step-by-step

To submit a new listing:

  1. Search: Type the name of the listing (festival, artist, vendor, ect.) in the Search bar on the website home page (www.festivival.com) to see if the Listings exists. The Search looks into all listings in all categories. If the Listing is published on our website it will appear in a dropdown display field below the Search bar.
  2. Look for Search Results: If the Listings doesn’t exists, in a dropdown display field below the Search bar, you will see the message: We did not find what you are looking for. Tell us about it by Submitting a new Listing.
  3. Publish: Click on Submitting a new Listing and follow the onscreen instructions. You must be logged-in to submit a new Listing.

Claim a Listing

The Listing Claim functionality makes it possible for users of the website to request permission to become owners of a certain listing or listings to be able to update these listings with additional information. Use the Claim This Listing button located on top of the listing page to submit your request. We must verify that your claim is legitimate. Providing:

  • a company email, or
  • a listing of your information on your company official website

are accepted forms of verification.

We may require you to provide additional information to prevent spam. After we approve the Claim, you become the owner of the listing and able to modify or update it. Upon approval or denial of your listing claim, you will receive an email from us.

Categories

We list the following category: Festivals.

  • Festivals: To be listed as a Festival, you must have a verifiable official website in the English language;

Updates

To update a listing you posted:

  1. Log-in to My Profile in the upper right corner of the webpage
  2. Go to My Listings. 

Misrepresentation of Information

We welcome reviews and listing submissions from all of our website users. However, in order to insure the trustworthiness of the information we present, some minimum requirements must be met:\

  • It is not allowed to obtain contact information about our website users who’ve posted undesirable reviews in order to intimidate them or force them to request a removal of such reviews.
  • Soliciting our website users under any form or condition is strictly prohibited.
  • Refrain from copying other users’ reviews and posting them as yours as we will delete such reviews.
  • Posting reviews on other people’s behalf is not allowed. We value only fist-hand experiences.
  • Submitting reviews by means of professional marketing companies or organizations, or third parties is prohibited, and it may lead to the suspension the user account or accounts the reviews come from as well as the deletion of such reviews.
  • Owners, employees, and/or persons with any interests in a company are prohibited from reviewing said business. Doing so may lead to the suspension and removal of such user accounts, account information, postings, listings, and reviews.

Reviews

Writing Reviews

  • We welcome reviews about your trip that are solely based on your personal, fist-hand experience. Discovery by us of any affiliation to the property, the company, or the place you’re reviewing, will result in the removal of your review(s) from our website.
  • All reviews are subject to editorial approval before publishing. Once you send us your review, it becomes a Festivival.com property, but rest assured, it will not be shared or used by any other individual or entity, and it is only to tell the world about your trip experiences.

Step-by-Step

  1. Log-in to the website.

  2. Use the search bar on the Home page to find the listing for which you’d like to post a review.

  3. Click on “Write Story” button and fill out the review form.

Multiple Reviews

There is no restriction on how many reviews you can write for one listing. You are welcome to create subsequent reviews as long as they are on a different date from your last visit or personal experience.

Wrong Reviews

If you submitted a review by mistake to the wrong listing, use the Contact form to let us know and we will fix it.

Editing

You will not be able to edit your review after submission. Use the Contact form to provide a link to the review in question and to explain what went wrong.

Posting

After submitting your review we will post it within 24 hours. You will get an email notification when it is posted. All review postings are subject to approval. If we cannot publish your review, we will notify you. 

Verification

In rare cases we could ask for more information to verify the authenticity of your review. Please, respond to us promptly within 24 hours. Not responding may result of your review submission to remain unpublished until you respond. All review submissions are subject to approval.

Expiration

Your review will never expire. If you want your review to be removed from our website for any reason, please Contact us. We may remove your review at any time, if we find it violates our User Agreement

Privacy

We do not disclose contact information. If anyone wants to contact you about your review, they will use the option to Comment provided under each review. You will not be notified about comments to your reviews. For more information see our Privacy Policy.

User

Create an Account/Profile

To create a new profile:

  1. Go to My Profile in the upper right corner of the webpage
  2. Click on Create an account

Delete my Profile

  1. Go to Contact us.

  2. Fill out the form.

  3. In the Subject field write “Delete Account”

  4. Click Send Email.

Your account will be deleted in the next 24 hours. Once your account has been deleted, you will no longer have access to your listings, reviews, or other postings on the website. Deleting your user account will not delete your listings, reviews, or other postings.

Edit my Profile

You can change you profile information, upload a picture for your profile (avatar), and set your forum settings by editing your profile:

  1. Go to My Profile in the upper right corner of the webpage and log-in
  2. From the drop down My Profile menu, click on My Profile
  3. In the Blue bar where it reads Profile for {followed by your user name}, click on EDIT

Moderation Guidelines

1. Introduction

1.1 These Moderation Rules (“Rules”) apply to any use of the Reviews and Listings section of the Festivival Website (“Website”). Any submission of material by you to the Website means that you accept and agree to abide by all the terms & conditions of these Rules.

2. Moderation

2.1 Reviews and Listings submitted to the Website (“Reviews and Listings ”) will be checked for compliance with the content standards set out in these Rules before publication. We will try to publish as many Reviews and Listings as we can but we cannot guarantee that all Reviews and Listings will be published. We also cannot guarantee how quickly Reviews and Listings will be posted on the Website.

2.2 Although Reviews and Listings are checked prior to publication, we are under no obligation to you or to any other person to oversee, monitor or moderate the Website or any other service we provide on the Website and we may stop moderating the Website at any time. You are solely responsible for your Review and Listing. We are not responsible as author, editor or publisher for any Reviews and Listings submitted to the Website and we expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the Website in contravention of these Rules. We reserve the right to promptly remove, or to disable access to, any Reviews and Listings which we deem to be potentially defamatory of any person, unlawful, inappropriate, in violation of any third party rights or otherwise in breach of these Rules.

3. Eligibility

3.1 By submitting a Review and Listing, you represent and warrant that (a) the Reviews and Listings does not breach these Rules; (b) you will maintain the e-mail address that you have registered with us; and (c) you are 18 years of age or older.

4. Non-commercial use

4.1 Use of the Reviews and Listings and comments sections of the Website are for your personal use only and are not to be used for any commercial purposes including, without limitation, to advertise goods and/or services.

4.2 You must not attempt to solicit the personal details of other users.

5. Content standards

5.1 These Content Standards apply to all Reviews and Listings and must be complied with. We will determine, at our discretion, whether a Reviews and Listings breaches the Content Standards.

5.2 A Reviews and Listings must:

5.2.1 be accurate (where it states facts);

5.2.2 be genuinely held (where it states opinions);

5.2.3 comply with the laws applicable in Europe and the US and in any country from which it is posted; and

5.2.4 be relevant.

5.2.5 give context. e.g. a review with either full or near full scores with no description beyond a few words is likely to be rejected.  

5.3 A Reviews and Listings must not:

5.3.1 be defamatory of any person or mention any individuals or small organisations

5.3.2 contain any strong profanity or be obscene, offensive, threatening, inflammatory, abusive, hateful, racist, anti-religious or sexually graphic;

5.3.3 be in any way discriminatory or promote discrimination of any kind;

5.3.4 be pornographic or violent;

5.3.5 disclose any personal details in respect of any individual other than your own name, age and location;

5.3.6 infringe any copyright (i.e. belong to someone else) or infringe any database right, trade marks or other rights of any other person;

5.3.7 breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;

5.3.8 be in contempt of court;

5.3.9 be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;

5.3.10 impersonate any person or misrepresent your identify or affiliation with any person;

5.3.11 be unlawful or advocate, promote, incite any third party to commit or assist any unlawful or criminal act or contain any description or mention of illegal activity;

5.3.12 contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism;

5.3.13 contain any advertising (including any adverts on the Website) or promote any goods or services or attempt to make a commercial gain;

5.3.14 contain any links or URLs to other websites;

5.3.15 contain any spam;

5.3.16 contain a large amount of text in capital letters; and/or

5.3.17 be in any language other than English.

6. Copyright

6.1 Other than personally identifiable information which is covered by our Privacy Policy, any Reviews and Listings you transmit or post to the Website shall be considered non-confidential.

6.2 You grant to us a non-exclusive licence to freely use that Reviews and Listings and to freely use, edit, alter, reproduce, publish and/or distribute the material contained in your Review and Listing. This license is free of charge, perpetual and capable of sub-license. We may exercise all copyright and publicity rights in the material contained in your Reviews and Listings in all jurisdictions to their full extent and for the full period for which any such rights exist in that material.

6.3 By submitting your Reviews and Listings to the Website, you warrant that you have the right to grant to us the license described above.

7. Breach of rules

7.1 Failure to comply with these Rules constitutes a material breach of the terms of use on which you are permitted to use the Website and to submit Reviews and Listings. Where we consider, at our sole discretion, that a breach of these Rules has occurred or that the Website is being used in a manner that we consider to be inappropriate, we may take such action as we deem appropriate which includes (without limitation) the following action with or without notice:

7.1.1 immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your registration to the Website;

7.1.2 removal of any and all Reviews and Listings posted by you to the Website;

7.1.3 legal proceedings against you;

7.1.4 disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we feel is necessary or as required by law.

7.2 We exclude our liability for any action we may take in response to a breach of these Rules.

8. Complaints

8.1 If you wish to complain about any Reviews and Listings posted to the Website, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and give us as much information as possible as to why you think the Reviews and Listings should be removed from the Website. Our editorial team will endeavour to Reviews and Listings your complaint and the relevant Reviews and Listings as soon as possible. We will deal with any Reviews and Listings which, in our opinion, violates these Rules in such a way as we deem appropriate.

9. Changes to these rules

9.1 We may revise these Rules at any time and you should ensure that you check these Rules from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they will be deemed legally binding on you from the time they are posted on the Website.
