The organizers were overwhelmed by the success of their festival. 3000 people were expected, over 30,000 came! This unexpected success closed the festival a few hours after kickoff. All the artists had been paid, but there was no protection. It was a natural amphitheater invaded by people who would not pay. The people of the town and surroundings saw two days in advance hippie tribes, determined to attend the festival and have fun in the sun without spending a penny.
