Marriage celebration of Crown Prince Ludwig (later King Ludwig I) and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen on October 12. The citizens of Munich were invited to celebrate the happy Royal event. The fields have been called "Theresienwiese" (Teresa's meadow) in honour of the princess.
