Although the Amsterdam of the sixties is full of tension between the youth and the authorities, a change takes place in 1967. It is the Summer of Love. Following the example of cities such as San Francisco and London, the municipality of Amsterdam decides to organize a so-called 'love-in'. 8000 hippies visit the love-in in the old RAI in Amsterdam.

Every visitor gets a flower and with wax crayon the participants draw texts and flowers on body parts. Beatbands appear on various stages. Visitors dance to the music, lie on the floor, meditate and symbolically carry the hatred in a coffin to the grave. At the end a smoke bomb is ignited.
