Arts & Acts
Most notable was that Jimi Hendrix and his bandmates Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell played their last show. Another notable memory includes the violence outside the stadium due to gate crashers and the clash between police and those trying to get in the festival for free. Zephyr was a last minute addition for an unnamed act that cancelled. Crosby, Stills and Nash was said to be on the bill but cancelled as their record had yet to be released.

Location
The stadium (originally Bears Stadium) was built in 1948 for the Denver Bears baseball team, later changed to the Zephyrs. In later years expanded to accomodate the Denver Broncos football team.
